The Rev. Dr. Katharine Henderson, President
The Rev. Dr. Katharine Rhodes Henderson is President of Auburn Theological Seminary. Author of God’s Troublemakers: How Women of Faith are Changing the World, Henderson is an international leader in theological education and has pioneered programs for excellence in religious leadership of all faiths and progressive moral leadership in the public square. She is also a regular contributor to the Washington Post/Newsweek blog, “On Faith."
Rabbi Justus N. Baird is the Director of the Center for Multifaith Education. He oversees the seminary's multifaith programming which strives to prepare religious leaders for a religiously diverse world, including the flagship youth program Face to Face|Faith to Faith. He teaches the Multifaith Seminar in the Multifaith Doctor of Ministry Program, a partnership between Auburn and New York Theological Seminary. His chapter "Multifaith Continuing Education: Leading Faithfully in a Religiously Diverse World" appeared in the revised edition (2009) of A Lifelong Call to Learn: Approaches to Continuing Education for Christian Leaders.
Rev. J.C. Austin is the Director of The Center for Christian Leadership. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cape Town in the field of Christian Ethics and Public Life and working on a book that examines how and why Christianity influences international policy by shaping global moral values, such as the consensus against genocide, slavery, and racism. He is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
Macky Alston, Director of Auburn Media
Macky Alston serves as Director of Auburn Media. Alston is an award-winning filmmaker and an organizer in the worlds of media and religion. He has received the Sundance Film Festival Freedom of Expression Award, the Gotham Open Palm Award, three Emmy nominations, and appeared widely in the press, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show and The New York Times.
