Show Your Support this 9/11 Weekend

This 9/11 weekend promises to be one of the most intense and charged anniversaries of September 11. After months of raging debates over the planned Park51 Islamic Center, many activists have organized events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 10-12. In addition, the celebration of the end of the Muslim festival of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, is expected to fall on Friday, September 10, and the Jewish New Year falls on September 9th and 10th.

Auburn encourages you to show your support for religious freedom and tolerance, and make your voice heard at one these events:

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
Candlelight Vigil, 7:15p, organized by the New York Neighbors for American Values

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
Auburn President The Rev. Dr. Katharine Henderson will be a featured speaker at the Liberty Walk, 3:00 pm, organized by Religious Freedom USA.
