As the nation turns to celebrate the legacy and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Auburn recommends an excellent documentary resource, Have You Heard from Johannesburg, to further the discussion of racial justice. All this and more on the Auburn Web site. Plan for MLK Day Each year on the third Monday of January we stop to honor the life, legacy and continued impact of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his remarkable vision of racial equality and the eradication of systems of poverty. This January 16th, let this day be an opportunity to shape social justice needs in your community. Don’t miss this excellent documentary resource to bring to your community to further the conversation around racial equality. Have You Heard from Johannesburg, a Clarity Films Production, is a powerful seven-part documentary series by two-time Academy Award® Nominee Connie Field and documents the history of the global movement to end the apartheid system in South Africa in the 1980s.
