We strongly support open dialogue, but true dialogue cannot be one sided.

Auburn’s Lives of Commitment Awards Benefit Breakfast on May 1 is our time to learn from – and be galvanized by – true beacons of our time, who are bringing change and living the shared values of our faiths: to care for those in need, to protect human dignity and to bring strength to the vulnerable among us.

NEW YORK — The Rev. Dr. Katharine Rhodes Henderson, president of Auburn Theological Seminary, released the following statement on the bi-partisan Senate proposal to expand background checks on firearm purchases and close the “gun show loophole”: “All over the country, faith leaders picked up their phones to make certain our leaders know the only right and just action is a vote to prevent gun violence. Spurred by Auburn’s social action arm, Groundswell, more than 85,000 people of faith and faith leaders are urging their senators to prevent gun violence.

Rabbi Justus Baird, Dean of Auburn, and alumni of F2F from Northern Ireland had the opportunity to meet and ask questions of half a dozen Northern Ireland politicians at Stormont today.

1 Corinthians chapter 12 reminds us "that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it." Today, we are one in our suffering, horror and grief with Boston.
